he Bekasi Land Agency has discovered that hundreds of thousands of plots and land and houses in the area have not been certified or have the wrong type of certificate, tempo.co has reported.
The agency head, Dirwan Dachri, said recently that about 100,000 plots of land and houses had no certificates, while 668,576 plots had incorrect certificates.
Dirwan said many middle-low income residents only had building right titles (HGBs) because of their lack of knowledge on the need to upgrade their land certificates. He said the regency had opened land certificate posts at night in several villages.
Kedungwarining village head Mustaim acknowledged that many of his community's members did not understand document procurement procedures. 'Only 20 out of 240 land owners have processed documents,' he said.
