To mark its anniversary, taxi-booking cellphone application GrabTaxi will be giving out a free ride bonus to its customers in Indonesia.
The one-time free ride for GrabTaxi and GrabBike will be applicable on June 22 for customers in Jakarta, Padang and Surabaya, with a maximum charge of Rp 48,800 (US$3.66).
Another city that will enjoy the free ride is Denpasar, Bali, with the company's recently launched GrabCar service.
With GrabCar, where customers can order cars to take them from point to point, the free offer applies until the end of June.
"Just fill in 'grabgratis' in the promotional code column [to get the free ride bonus]," GrabTaxi Indonesia marketing and partnership head Kiki Rizki told reporters on Friday.
GrabTaxi, which was initially named MyTeksi, has partnered with 91,000 drivers in six countries including Malaysia and Indonesia since the app launched in 2012. (fsu/dmr)(+++)
