Singer Hedi Yunus has recorded an old Krisdayanti song, 'Doa' (Prayer) as his religious single this year.
'The song, composed by Embi C. Noer, used to be sung by Krisdayanti as the soundtrack of 1998's Doaku Harapanku [My Prayer, My Hope] Ramadhan sinetron [soap opera],' he said as quoted by kompas.com.
He said that as he had released religious singles and albums previously, he wanted to do it again this year.
The member of pop group Kahitna said he had teamed up with Ifa Fachir, former Maliq & d'Essentials keyboardist, to work on the music.
'Ifa was in charge of rearranging the music,' the 46-year-old singer said.
Hedi added that the song had been played by more 100 radio stations nationwide.
