Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras lashed out at his country's creditors ahead of critical talks Wednesday, denting hopes of a final debt deal to prevent Athens from defaulting and leaving the euro.
The leftist leader flew to Brussels for a crunch meeting with the heads of the European Commission, International Monetary Fund and European Central Bank before eurozone finance ministers try to thrash out an agreement.
Your comments:
What make this problem different from that of Ireland, is politics and the population. The Irish people are disciplined to pay direct and indirect taxes and were led by a disciplined and realistic government.
It seems that Greece does not have the benefit of either and are led by showboating amateurs like Tsipras, who were elected on a platform of unattainable promises. Their only chance of economic salvation is their strategic geographical position and the threat of political intrigue involving Russia.
