Indonesian Military (TNI) spokesperson Maj. Gen. Fuad Basya said that TNI Commander Gen. Moeldoko has ordered the Air Force chief to carry out an investigation into the C-130 Hercules aircraft that crashed into a housing area in Medan, North Sumatra, on Tuesday.
'The TNI Commander has ordered the Air Force chief to fly to Medan to lead the investigation into the accident,' Fuad said as quoted by kompas.com.
He said the cargo aircraft crashed into a housing area in Simalingkar on 12:08 p.m. only two minutes after it took off from the Suwondo Air Force Base. The aircraft was transporting military supplies from Medan to Tanjungpinang in the Riau Islands.
