In the spotlight: An Uber vehicle on a street in Jakarta
span class="inline inline-center">
Your comments on Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama, who has threatened to continue seizing cars and drivers working through the app known as Uber if the company fails to register the operation of its business.
Any business undertaking that fails to register its operation is tantamount to failing to pay annual taxes and as such it should never be tolerated.
I personally agree with Ahok.
We should seize the cars and drivers working for such a wayward business undertaking.

Public transportation is regulated by law and by-laws.
Private cars and drivers, although convenient as a means of public transportation, are clearly against those laws and regulations.
As for two kinds of motorcycle taxi (ojek and Go-jek), both are illegal modes of public transportation, even though they are getting very popular.

With the new Organization of Land Transportation Owners (Organda) chief also being a taxicab company boss, is there any doubt why these cars are off the road?

Governor Ahok does the right thing. If people do the right thing, we will have the right thing and the right people with the right leader.
So do the right thing. Don't just blame someone else. Please do the right thing in the right place and keep up the good work.
