Greater jakarta: Health services remain open for Idul Fitri

ublic hospitals and puskesmas (community health centers) will remain open during Idul Fitri, which is expected to fall on July 17 and 18.

Jakarta Health Agency head Kusmedi Priharto said emergency services would remain open 24 hours a day during the festival.

'€œAll emergency services, including emergency rooms at district-level puskesmas, will operate 24 hours a day,'€ he said on Monday as quoted by beritajakarta.com.

To ensure smooth operation, the agency will arrange for public health officers'€™ to work in shifts.

Koesmedi noted that subdistrict-level puskesmas would be closed for four days during the Idul Fitri holiday.

'€œSubdistrict-level clinics will be closed on July 17, 18, 20 and 21,'€ he said.
