The Jakarta Police held a discussion with Islamic groups on Tuesday in a bid to prevent the spread of violence after a riot broke out during Idul Fitri prayers in Tolikara, Papua.

Your comments:

An open admission that they will take the law into their own hands should the police investigations not satisfy them.

Yet nobody goes for the handcuffs. Brilliant law enforcement, guys.

The real double standard is that a single mosque attack leads to dozens of articles, calls for jihad, etc. while routine, state-supported supremacism goes unchecked and largely ignored, being so common as to be normal.

I quote: '€œIf there is no law enforcement, we will certainly do jihad.'€ So, I take it that they will do jihad against corruption, nepotism and other cases that go unprosecuted?

Papuans are tolerant of other religions; they are not militant against other beliefs.

However, I do agree that the police should investigate very soon what agents provoked the riots.
