ith help from the Jakarta Police, the South Tangerang administration will establish a police precinct next year in an attempt to improve services to its residents, an official has said.
Deputy Jakarta Police chief Brig. Gen. Nanang Juamantara said on Wednesday that the Jakarta Police had allocated equipment and a staff of 700 for the police station, which will be built on 10,500 hectares of land in Serpong.
However, the institution, Nanang said, could not be built before a discussion of its budget between the South Tangerang government and the city council.
'If no problems are encountered, the police station will be established in 2016,' the deputy chief said, adding that the precinct police would be responsible for five sub-precincts in South Tangerang.
