he police have arrested a South Korean citizen, Kim Jong-sung, 37, for stealing imported alcoholic drinks of various brands that were worth hundreds of millions of rupiah from a warehouse in the Donowati area of Surabaya.

'€œSuspect Kim was arrested together with two Indonesian accomplices, Santoso, 27, and Mona, 35, as they were breaking into the warehouse. They were loading hundreds of bottles of liquor into a car when they were arrested,'€ said Sukomanunggal Police chief Comr. Yulianto on Monday.

Detectives from the Sukomanunggal Police Intelligence and Crime Unit, headed by Adj. Cor. Sukoco, were able to seize 185 bottles of liquor packed in 11 cartons and estimated to be worth Rp 185 million (US$13,700).

'€œBased on their confessions, they committed the theft as they needed money,'€ said Sukoco.
