B

andung Institute of Technology (ITB) ranks number one on the list of Indonesia's best universities released by the Research, Technology and Higher Education Ministry.

'€œWe want to encourage higher education to develop academic and nonacademic capacities through the existence of this ranking system,'€ the ministry'€™s directorate general for science and higher education Patdono Suwignyo told tempo.co recently.

The list is made based on four main criteria to measure the quality of a university. These criteria measure the quality of lecturers and human resources, the quality of management and organization, the quality of student'€™s events and the quality of research and scientific publications.
