A 12-kilometer trail run competition is set to be held in Dusun Bambu Family Leisure Park in Bandung, West Java, on Nov. 1.
Organized by Zinc and Kompas TV, the event features four stages of different tracks, which include uphill and rocky roads, river and bush crossings and passing tea plantations and pine forest.
According to Zinc brand manager Hendrawan Tjong, although the trail run competition was categorized as an extreme sport, it was also open to non-professional runners seeking for a good challenge.
Those interested can register at the event's official website www.zinctrailrun.com until Oct. 23 or until the maximum number of participants, 750, are reached.
Winners of the competition can expect to bring home a total of Rp 18 million (US$1,300) cash prize. (edn/kes)(++++)
