he 20th edition of the TATA Motors Jakarta International sixes will be held this year in Cibubur, East Jakarta, this coming weekend.
Ten teams, including last year's winners, the Asiatic Smashers, and the runner-up from Singapore, the Nexian Ryders, will participate in this form of rapid-fire fun cricket that is gaining popularity.
'Cricket in Jakarta is growing, not just among expatriates, but local Indonesian boys are taking to it very rapidly,' said JCA President Avakash Lohia.
'Today 16 teams are participating in the league and unless we are able to develop new grounds, we will have to restrict the team numbers.'
The all-Indonesian team of the Chairos Tigers will certainly be looking to create a few upsets.
The tournament is divided into two groups of five teams each and will involve 29 rapid games of 30 minutes each.
