ast Kalimantan achieved a convincing performance by crushing North Sumatra 11-0 in the women's division of the National Hockey Championship at the Senayan ABC Field in Jakarta on Sunday.
In the 2x35 minute match, East Kalimantan showed its domination right from the start and ended the first half with seven goals, with Isnawati and Feriana each scoring two goals. The other three goals were delivered by Nurasiah, Nur Anisah and Fitriana.
Isnawwati and Fitriana each scored another goal in the second half. Adriana Asa and Widiyana Saruli also found the net and East Kalimantan will be facing favorite Jakarta in the next match with confidence.
'I hope the players can continue to perform well against Jakarta, playing solidly with high spirits and motivation,' team coach Saharudin said in a release.
In another match, Papua trounced Banten 6-0.
In the men's division, Papua topped South Sulawesi 2-0 with the goals contributed by Hosea Aser Firdaus and Aristakus Rawajari.
