Guess what?: Tanta'€™s recent close call on set

A

ctor Tanta Ginting says that he almost had an accident during the shooting of his latest film, Skakmat (Checkmate).

'€œThere was a scene where I had to race a motorcycle, I made a wrong turn and almost hit a camera car,'€ he said as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Tanta, 34, said that when he hit the brakes the wheel skidded, so he released the brakes to avoid an accident.

He said that although the scene was dangerous, he had refused to use a stuntman to do it.

'€œI don'€™t feel comfortable with stuntmen, so although the scene was tough, I tried to do it by myself,'€ said Tanta, who also starred in Soekarno.

In the action-comedy movie, Tanta plays Jamal, an ojek (motorcycle taxi) driver who talks a lot but does little and is often a burden on people around him.
