Guess what?: Maudy releases single about Jakarta'€™s hustle and bustle

A

ctress-singer Maudy Ayunda has just launched a new single, '€œJakarta Ramai'€ (Crowded Jakarta), inspired by the notorious traffic jams and congestion in the capital.

'€œIt is about someone daydreaming in the middle of crowded Jakarta,'€ 21-year-old Maudy said during the single'€™s release in Jakarta on Friday.

As reported by kompas.com, Maudy produced the song in collaboration with noted guitarist Tohpati.

Maudy, an undergraduate student of Oxford University, said that through '€œJakarta Ramai'€ she wanted to show the stark difference between people'€™s loneliness and the hustle and bustle of the metropolis.

'€œI see it as an interesting paradox. A person can daydream although many things are happening around him. Loneliness in the middle of the crowd,'€ she said.
