Harrison Ford is now the highest-grossing actor in US box office history, according to Box Office Mojo.

Ford, who reprised his role as Han Solo in '€œStar Wars: The Force Awakens,'€ has eclipsed '€œThe Avengers'€ star Samuel Jackson in the list, with a total gross of $4.7 billion.

Jackson previously appeared in Star Wars prequels as Jedi Master Mace Windu before starring as Nick Fury in the Marvel superhero film.

Ford was also known for his work in '€œIndiana Jones.'€

Tom Hanks ($4.3 billion), Morgan Freeman ($4.3 billion), Eddie Murphy ($3.8 billion), Tom Cruise ($3.58 billion), Robert Downey Jr. ($3.53 billion), and Johnny Depp ($3.29 billion) also made it to the top 10.

Other actors who cracked the top 20 were Robin Williams ($3.27 billion), Bruce Willis ($3.18 billion), Robert De Niro ($3.03 billion), and Matt Damon ($3.94 billion).
Cameron Diaz, who figured at 15th place, was the only female in the top 20 with a total gross of $3.03 billion.

The latest installment of Star Wars has easily become one of the highest-grossing films in history just a few weeks after its opening. It overtook '€œJurassic World'€ in global sales, just behind James Cameron'€™s '€œAvatar'€ and '€œTitanic.'€ (kes)(+)
