One of the victims, identified as Wardi, 29, of Andansari village, Belawan, was aboard the KM Bintang Terang when it was hit by a storm and capsized off Belawan, one of three boats to suffer a similar fate.
Sixteen of the boat's 18-strong crew survived, while two, Irwansyah, 60, and Wardi, drowned.
'Wardi's body was found on Tuesday at 9 a.m. by fishermen within the Bouy 1 area off Belawan,' the head of the Medan chapter of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), Zainul Thahar, told The Jakarta Post on Tuesday.
Indonesian Navy Medan chief spokesman Sahala Sinaga said the three fishing boats had capsized as they sought protection from a passing Pancaran XLV-1215 tug boat.
