wo men have been arrested for allegedly killing and robbing a man who offered his car for sale online. The suspects, Paulus Santoso, or Pingping, 28, and Cahyono, or Gareng, 28, pretended to be buyers of the car before killing and robbing Dedy Widyanarko.
The Jakarta Police general crimes director Sr. Comr. Krishna Murti said they were arrested in Karanganyar, Central Java.
Dedy, whose body was found in Cakung in North Jakarta last week, had met somebody to sell his car to after advertising through an online marketplace.
Pingping contacted the victim through an online shopping portal and pretended he was interested in buying his car.
'Pingping was also the one who killed Dedy,' Krishna said Wednesday.
Gareng's role was to dump the victim's body, he said.
Dedy's body was found by residents on Jl. Inspeksi Cakung in West Cakung last Saturday.
