AKARTA: Celebrity chef Farah Quinn is proud of her 9-year-old son for being able to read the Koran at a young age.

'€œHe is amazing. He can read the Koran with good tajwid [proper pronunciation],'€ the 35-year-old said as quoted by tempo.co.

Farah said she had always believed that religion represented basic education for children. That is why she has encouraged her only son, Armand Fauzan Quinn, to practice reading the Koran since he was four.

She praised her son as a fast learner, saying he could memorize everything his teacher taught him.

Arman has also impressed his mother with his praying habits. Farah said every time he heard the call to prayer, he always asked for permission to pray, even at the airport.
