AKARTA: German manufacturer of electronic home appliances Severin plans to open three service centers in major cities in Bali and Sulawesi this year to gain a stronger foothold in the electronic home appliances business.
“Our products have already existed in the Indonesian market since the middle of last year, and now we plan to strengthen our service centers to get the public’s trust,” Severin Indonesia chief marketing officer Sianni Sukardi said Wednesday in Jakarta.
As of today, the company has opened seven service centers in several cities throughout the country, namely Jakarta, Tangerang in Banten, Cirebon in West Java, Surabaya in East Java, Medan in North Sumatra, Banjarmasin in South Kalimantan and Pontianak in West Kalimantan.
Sianni added that as part of the company’s marketing strategy it would conduct live demos in several regions across Indonesia to educate the public about its products.
At least 80 Severin products — out of about 200 electronic home appliance products made by the company, including a barbecue grill, a coffee grinder, a hair dryer, a toaster and a slow juicer — are distributed to department stores and supermarkets with outlets spread across the country. Stockists include Central, TheFoodHall and Sogo. — JP/vny
