layers in the local data center industry will organize a major conference and exhibition next year to share and discuss strategies as well as opportunities amid the growing demand for such services in Southeast Asia’s largest economy.
Chairman of the newly established Indonesia Data Center Provider Organization (IDPRO) Kalamullah Ramli said the event, to be organized by the association in February next year, will be the first of its kind in Indonesia. The event, he added, was also aimed at educating the public about the industry and its role in business and society in general.
“A better understanding on data center services will further increase the industry’s development in Indonesia,” Kalamullah said on Wednesday.
IDPRO members, including DCI Indonesia, Elitery, Graha Teknologi Nusantara (GTN) and Telkomsigma, will participate in the conference.
IDPRO secretary general and GTN chairman Richard Kartawijaya elaborated that a wide range of relevant topics would be discussed at the conference.
“We will have discussions on the latest applicable technologies, the data center outlook in Indonesia, as well as Government Regulation No. 82/2012,” he said, referring to the regulation on the management of electronic transactions and systems, data and disaster recovery centers for public services.
