ifty damaged ballots were found during the early stage of ballot distribution in Sarolangun regency, Jambi, an official said on Friday.
“[So far] we’ve found 50 damaged ballots. The number may increase considering ballot distribution preparation will continue until Jan. 26,” said Sarolangun General Elections Commission (KPU Sarolangun) commissioner Thoriq Kurniawan, adding that the commission would return the damaged ballots to the supplier in Jakarta.
Thirty KPU Sarolangun personnel were deployed to prepare the 195,996 ballots to be distributed to 586 polling stations in 158 villages. The final voter list (DPT) in Sarolangun contains 190,940 names, while extra ballots have been prepared for each polling station.
