epok Deputy Mayor Pradi Supriatna has said he will seek clarification from the Depok Communications and Information Agency regarding his absence from a billboard designed to welcome King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
The billboard, set up next to the entrance of the Jagorawi toll road, the route undertaken by the king and his large entourage on their arrival in Indonesia on Wednesday, only displays the image of Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris Abdul Shomad, accompanied with the city’s logo and tagline: “A Friendly City”.
“My picture should have been attached, particularly because the city’s tagline and logo are there too,” he said on Wednesday as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Edi Masturo, a city councilor from Gerindra Party, which supports Pradi, also lambasted the billboard and the agency.
“Gerindra hopes this will be the last case. We always try to maintain harmony, but if such a case happens again, we will make a move,” he said.
The Idris and Pradi mayoral ticket was endorsed by the Prosperous Justice Party and Gerindra last year. (fac)
