lag carrier Garuda Indonesia president director Muhammad Arif Wibowo on Monday inaugurated two new directors, appointing Triyanto Moeharsono as the airline's operations director and I Wayan Susena as the technique and maintenance director.
The two directors were officially inaugurated to strengthen the airline’s management structure after they passed an assessment screening by the Transportation Ministry, Garuda corporate communications vice president Benny S. Butarbutar said in a statement.
“The appointment of the two directors has been approved by the State-Owned Enterprises Ministry,” Benny said.
Before being inaugurated as Garuda directors, Triyanto served as the company’s vice president for operational planning and control, while Susena was a director for base operations at the airline’s subsidiary Garuda Maintenance Facilities (GMF) Aero Asia.
Benny said the appointment of the new directors was expected to improve the company’s operational and technical performances.
The two directors add to the company's executive board, which consists of a president director, finance and risk management director, service director, production director, marketing and information technology director, human resources director and cargo director. (yon/bbn)
