Two fishermen died and another was injured on Thursday after their boat capsized near Namosain beach, East Nusa Tenggara.
The three victims were crew members of fishing boat KM Makarios. The accident occurred while they were riding a smaller boat to reach the beach, East Nusa Tenggara Police spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Jules Abast said.

The cause of the accident was a leakage in the boat after it had sailed about 50 meters from the KM Makarios.
"The boat's driver, Fatur, called for help and the KM Makarios captain sent a speed boat to help," Jules said.
He added that after the evacuation, the three victims were taken straight to Osmok Navy Hospital for immediate treatment.
While two fishermen were declared dead, another was still being treated at the hospital.
"The [dead] bodies have been taken to their families for burial ceremonies," Jules said. (yon/ika)
