A

ctor and comic book writer Marcelino Lefrandt, 43, is working on a comic book that features 34 superheroes from 34 provinces in Indonesia.

During the process of creating his characters, Marcelino said he drew inspiration from the people around him.

One of his characters, Rainer, for example, is inspired by Ade Rai, a well-known Indonesian bodybuilder. Marcelino has also created a character based on fellow actor Ari Wibowo.

He is collaborating with illustrator Aswin Siregar on the comic book.

“Aswin handles the illustration, the outlook and the costumes. Then we decide on the final design together.” Marcelino said, as quoted by kompas.com.
