T Osram Indonesia, a subsidiary of German lighting company Osram, aims to increase its automotive lighting sales this year to 14 million lights, a 20 percent increase from last year.
The company is targeting to sell 10 million lights for two-wheeled vehicles and 4 million for four-wheeled vehicles, Osram Indonesia national sales manager Steven Robertus told The Jakarta Post on Wednesday.
He said the sales of automotive lightings were expected to contribute 70 percent to total sales, while the rest was expected from professional lighting sales.
Osram’s halogen lights led in the two-wheeled vehicles segment, controlling 20 percent of the market share, he said, while its products for four-wheeled vehicles held 10 percent of the market share.
He said his company was also eyeing the automotive accessory light market, having the launched its Night Breaker Laser at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).
Steven said the new product was expected to contribute to automotive light sales. (rdi/bbn)
