An unidentified man reportedly broke into her room at 1 a.m. and threatened to kill her.
"At that time, the lights were out, and suddenly the man appeared in her room and threatened to kill her," Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Argo Yuwono said as quoted by kompas.com on Thursday.
The perpetrator tied her up and raped her, then stole two cell phones and Rp 1 million (US$74.9) in cash before leaving the house through the front door, which showed signs of forced entry.
"The case is now being investigated by the Sukmajaya Police [in West Java]," Argo added. (agn)
