A minibus burst into flames on the Jagorawi toll road in East Jakarta on Monday morning.
The East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency’s operation section head Gatot Sulaeman said the vehicle, heading for Cibubur, exploded at 9:05 a.m.
"Two fire trucks were deployed to the scene," Gatot said as quoted by kompas.com, adding that it took 90 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
He said officers were still investigating the cause of the fire.
No casualties were reported, as the driver, the only person in the minibus, escaped before the fire totally destroyed the vehicle.
The incident, however, caused traffic congestion for some time. (fac)
