he owner of a car that has been stolen by a group of criminals was found dead at the Taman Sari housing complex in Tarumajaya district, the Bekasi Police have said.

The 76-year-old woman was found dead at her residence by her child who came to visit her. The victim, who lived alone, was found with her hands tied and mouth gagged.

"The suspects might have left with the victim's silver Toyota Avanza car," Bekasi Police criminal unit head Adj. Sr. Comr. Rizal Marito said on Thursday as quoted by tempo.co, adding that the police launched an investigation to find the suspects.

He said the police had begun to collect evidence and statements from witnesses. (fac)
