The head of the information, administration, population and data utilization division of the civil registration and population agency (Disdukcapil) of Bogor, C. Ari Setyaningsih, said on Wednesday that her agency’s data was based on information on residents aged 0 to 18. “West Bogor has 19,253 residents with no birth certificates, while Central Bogor district is the area with the smallest number of residents with no birth certificate, with only 8,996 residents,” Ari said, as quoted by wartakota.tribunnews.com.
She added that her agency had made efforts to accelerate the issuance of birth certificates.
The agency aimed to provide certificates to 85 percent of the targeted residents by the end of the year.
“We issue 150 birth certificates a day. If we want to achieve the target, we should issue 400 certificates a day,” she added.
