Talk of The Week: Seres springs resort & spa: A new leisure destination in Ubud

SereS Springs Resort & Spa, a five-star accommodation with design and services inspired by the richness of Balinese culture and tradition, has opened its doors in Ubud. The resort offers guests a satisfying escape from hectic and crowded urban settings in the Singakerta village located south of the center of Ubud.

The resort’s architecture is inspired by the Balinese concept of tri hita karana, emphasizing harmony and balance between human beings, nature and the Gods. Its roof features local ornaments, such as pointed roof pitch (locally known as murda), roof center ridge (locally known as bentala) and angled roof ridge (locally known as celeu). Locals believe these ornaments can bring positive cosmic energy into the building.

The hotel is also decorated with carved wooden statues — some of them are life-size — incorporating Balinese-Hindu concepts of good karma and mystical powers by protective guardian Gods, angels and animals. The hotel also offers unobstructed views of the Wos River, emerald-green rice fields and the majestic Mount Agung.

The resort boasts a spa situated in the fresh setting of natural vegetation with a pastoral ambiance, also providing a full view of the Wos River and iconic rice fields that surround it. Whether to enjoy a massage or a facial treatment, this is an ideal place to recover.
