wo people in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, emerged unscathed from a mishap that saw their motorbike being wedged between a Transjakarta bus and busway lane separator.
Transjakarta spokesperson Wibowo said the incident happened after the driver of the motorcycle insisted on driving in the busway lane.
"People need to understand that the Transjakarta lane is only for Transjakarta buses," Wibowo said as quoted by kompas.com.
Wibowo said the Transjakarta bus involved in the incident only suffered minor damage to its left exterior.
A short video showing the motorcyclist trying to release his motorbike from an impossibly tiny gap between his bike and the Transjakarta bus went viral on Tuesday.

In the video, the Transjakarta bus driver and some passengers alighted the bus to check on the riders' condition.
Despite a pledge by the Jakarta Police to crack down on motorists who use busway lanes, a large number of violators continue to break a regulation that bans them from doing so.
Earlier in October, motorbike riders who violated the TransJakarta-only policy were forced to carry their bikes over a lane separator after knowing that police personnel were ready to intercept them.
