eirs of Rasim bin Salim, the former owner of a plot of land where the Jakarta International Korean School (JIKS) stands in Cipayung, East Jakarta, has blockaded the school’s parking area over a land dispute.

One of the heirs, Niwan, said on Wednesday that a 7,300-square meter plot of land owned by Rasim bin Salim had been sold by a second party, named Santoso, to the JIKS foundation with falsified documents.

“All of the signatures on the documents have been forged without our knowledge,” Niwan claimed, as quoted by wartakota.tribunnews.com.

He added that one of his cousins had handed the land certificates to Santoso as a debt security. “But Santoso later sold the land,” he said, adding that the dispute had been going on for decades. (vny)
