The newly established Rovers Networking, a non-profit and informal group, hosted its first gathering at Amigos restaurant in Kemang, South Jakarta, recently with lots of fun games.
Business executives, expat managers, foreign diplomats, politicians, professionals, women activists, lawyers, journalists, contractors, engineers, doctors and politicians are members of Rovers Networking.
Most of the members of this group used to be in the former Roving Insight Executive and Diplomatic Club, a networking group that used to be active a few years back.
More than 100 people attended the gathering, with dancing, singing and a beer drinking competition really livening up the event. There was also a live band.
The main aim of Rovers Networking is to promote friendship and networking among Indonesians and foreigners living in Indonesia. Anybody can attend the gathering as no formal membership is required.
