rematch between Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson has been set, and the duo will headline ONE 161 on Aug. 26 live on United States prime-time television.

The two legends first met in April 2021 at ONE on TNT 1, where longtime divisional king Moraes handed “Mighty Mouse” the first knockout loss of his storied career and retained his ONE flyweight world title in the process.

“Mikinho” landed a knee to Johnson’s head in the second round, which finished the bout and the fan favorite's hopes of snatching the belt from the Brazilian brawler. The result sent shock waves through the combat sports world, and Moraes earned ONE’s 2021 MMA Knockout of the Year title for his performance.

Johnson will be looking for ultimate redemption, while Moraes will hope to make it 2-0 against the American when the pair collide in ONE’s first Amazon Prime Video event. The promotion is looking to kick off its partnership with the streaming giant with a bang – and this rematch is sure to deliver.

“Mighty Mouse’s” accomplishments speak for themselves. He has accumulated a record of 30-5, with 17 of his victories coming via submission or knockout (KO). The 12-time mixed martial arts (MMA) world champion is renowned worldwide as the mixed martial arts GOAT (greatest of all time), and he’ll get the opportunity to further cement that status against Moraes.

“Mikinho” is about as tough as a fighter could get, though. The American Top Team representative has held the ONE flyweight world championship three times dating back to 2014 and has defended it four times. His most recent stint as divisional king began in 2019, and he last put his gold on the line at ONE X in March, where he scored a third-round submission win over Yuya Wakamatsu to retain it once again.

It’ll be redemption versus confirmation when this bout goes down at ONE 161: Moraes vs. Johnson II on Aug. 26 – and fans around the world are guaranteed fireworks.
