Queensland highlights lifestyle, nature to attract holidaymakers

The Australian state of Queensland is set to promote its lifestyle, natural encounters, reef, islands and beaches and events to attract Indonesians and holidaymakers alike.

T

he Australian state of Queensland is set to promote its lifestyle, natural encounters, reefs, islands and beaches and events to attract Indonesians and other tourists alike.

“From diving in Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef to embracing the outdoor lifestyle in Brisbane, Queensland offers Australia’s best holiday destinations and experiences,” Tourism and Events Queensland’s international director for Southeast Asia, Lim Mui Khim, said in a press release on Wednesday.

The Queensland lifestyle mixes a metropolitan way of living and natural attractions in its cities including capital Brisbane with its laneway culture and manmade beach that exists among high-rise buildings, the Gold Coast that offers various attractions and Cairns, which serves as the gateway to the 2,300-kilometer long Great Barrier Reef.

Meanwhile, cuddling with koalas at Gold Coast’s Currumbin Sanctuary, Brisbane’s Lone Pine Sanctuary or Sunshine Coast’s Australia Zoo; visiting SkyPoint Climb; enjoying helicopter sightseeing or riding a hot air balloon; and attending events such as the 2017 Sudirman Cup and Gold Coast Airport Marathon are among the highlighted activities that tourists can expect to experience while holidaying in the state.
