Banyuwangi regency has more than 72 tourist events in a year with 50 of them are international events.
wo months after NAM Air first made its inaugural flight for the Jakarta – Banyuwangi route on June 16, the airline company has agreed to add one more flight schedule for the route starting August 20.
The new schedule uses flight number IN-256 and departs from Jakarta at 02:10 p.m. and arrives at 03:45 p.m. in Banyuwangi. Then from Banyuwangi, using flight number IN-257 the departure time to Jakarta is scheduled at 04:15 p.m. with arrival time is at 05:55 p.m.
Meanwhile, the first flight with flight number IN-252 departs from Jakarta at 07:05 a.m. and arrives at 08:35 p.m. The round trip with flight number IN-253 departs from Banyuwangi at 09:05 a.m. and arrives at 10:30 a.m.
Both flights use Boeing 737-500W airplanes with the capacity of 120 passengers, with 112 seats in economy class and eight seats in the executive class.
“With this additional new schedule, the flight to Banyuwangi is available in both morning and afternoon times,” said NAM Air senior corporate communications manager, Agus Soedjono.

“Throughout the month of July, the passenger load factor is above 85 percent, this gave us the confidence to add more flight,” Agus added.
The new schedule proves the contribution from Sriwijaya Air Group, the parent company of NAM Air, towards the regional development of Banyuwangi. In the future, the company is also planning to open other new routes.
“It doesn’t rule out the possibility for other new routes from Banyuwangi as it is in line with our commitment to Banyuwangi regent Abdullah Azwar which is to expand the connectivity and tourism partnership up to the international league,” Agus said.
