Indonesia truly is a popular destination among international celebrities from Hollywood to Bollywood.

Recently Indian TV actor Ankit Bathla traveled to Raja Ampat in West Papua after shooting for an Indonesian TV series.

“The vacation was super amazing; the place is heaven on earth. This was my experimental solo trip and I think it does wonders to the person. It’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. I also met tourists from across the world and interacting with them was quite interesting,” he told Hindustan Times publication.

Bathla also posted a photo of his trip to Raja Ampat on his Instagram that he captioned “You are naturally beautiful when you are yourself.”

Meanwhile, American actor David Hasselhoff, best known for his role in the popular Baywatch series bought a villa in Gili Meno, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

“The search for freedom is one of my biggest songs in life; at Gili Meno, I knew I'd found it the moment my feet hit the sand," he told Hello! Magazine.

Gili Meno is known for its beautiful white-sand beach, it even took the 11th spot in the Top 25 Beaches in Asia according to TripAdvisor back in 2016.

Another celebrity is British comedian Bill Bailey who traveled to Sumatra for two weeks 11 years ago with his wife and their son.

“In one place, we camped under a basic tarpaulin in an elephant camp in the jungle, where it was fascinating to see the elephants move the logs around and repair roads,” he recently told Express. (asw)
