hose who have known Bali back in the day, and who have returned many times over the years to stay at the Bali Hyatt in Sanur, might have missed the hotel due to its five-year facelift.
Now that the renovation is complete, the legendary hotel is back, opening its doors again on Dec. 20, according to a press release sent to The Jakarta Post.
Under the new name Hyatt Regency Bali, the hotel now boasts more contemporary design and facilities, while still maintaining its lush greenery and Indonesian DNA in the architecture.
Guests may expect to see a calm and refreshing ambiance in the newly renovated rooms, with soft shades of beige, white and gray. A touch of Japanese aesthetic can be seen, for instance, in off-white panels on the walls.
"After this period of extensive renovations, we are thrilled to be able to reveal a new and improved Hyatt Regency Bali to the public," general manager Zulki Othman said in the press release.
He added that the hotel looked forward to greeting new guests and also welcoming back former guests, whom he believed would appreciate that the hotel had managed to upgrade all the structures and facilities while retaining its original Balinese design and spirit.

Hyatt Regency Bali comprises 363 rooms spanning 27 to 81 square meters, each equipped with private balconies overlooking lush greenery or the Indian Ocean. The hotel also has 39 suites with one bedroom and separate living room.
Regardless of which room or suite guests are staying in, they can enjoy getting lost in the lush greenery initially designed by the late landscape artist Made Wijaya. Tranquil Sanur Beach can also be easily reached through direct access from the Hyatt Regency Bali, which is one of the plus points of a hotel that has been a pioneer in the area. (mut)
