winter village-themed festival is set to be held for the first time at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) at BSD City, Tangerang, Banten, from Dec. 19 to 29.

A collaboration between ICE and organizer PT Indonesia International Graha (IIG Events), ICEFEST 2019 will feature a winter village called Happy Village and a giant creature named ILO, who feels lonely as he lives outside the village and is feared by locals.

"Hopefully the friendship story between ILO and Aiden at the Happy Village presented in ICEFEST will help educate children on the importance of family and togetherness," said PT Indonesia International Expo president director Ryan Adrian in a statement on Wednesday.

Education, entertainment, cuisine and shopping are said to be the highlights of ICEFEST, which seeks to become a popular year-end holiday destination for family travelers. Among the brands to be featured at the festival are The F Thing Mall, BMW, Mini Cooper and Goodrich.

While exploring the winter village, visitors can also expect to enjoy some performances, including the Naura 4 Fairytale Concert and a musical drama featuring the Trinity Youth Symphony (TRUST) Orchestra and the Hops Puppet. (sal/kes)
