Latest offering: GoGames offers a variety of fun and relevant content to enhance the gaming experience.

Gojek, a leading technological platform in Southeast Asia, has launched one-stop gaming ecosystem GoGames that offers various features to enhance the gaming experience of its users.

According to 2018 data from mobile-advertising platform Pokkt and marketing consultancy Decision Lab, Indonesia is now home to 60 million online gamers with a gaming industry that has seen rapid growth in recent years.  The industry, which has enormous potential, is hungry for innovation and technological provision. Gojek’s entry into the Indonesian gaming industry couldn’t come at a better time. As the leading on-demand multi-service platform technology and digital payment technology group in the region, Gojek is more than fulfilling avid gamers’ need for such an innovative platform.

This new feature accentuates Gojek’s commitment to providing convenience to its users.

GoGames is a leading one-stop gaming ecosystem in Indonesia, offering special discounts and useful content to give the best experience to gamers regardless of their skill levels,” says Gojek cofounder Kevin Aluwi, underlining that the company continues innovations and catch-up with consumers’ demand for technology to help them handle daily hassles.

GoGames seeks to elevate players’ gaming experience, offering myriad content within three features, namely GoGames Top Up, GoGames TV and GoGames Recipe.

With GoGames, gamers can access promotional information, discounts and gaming vouchers. Moreover, with e-wallet GoPay, gamers can also purchase their game credits with ease and get special offers, such as cashback for game top-ups. GoGames, then, enables a hassle-free transaction experience in gaming activities.

Those wanting to improve their gaming skills can go to GoGames TV and watch curated and exclusive videos created by notable Indonesian gamers. The vlogs and tutorial videos feature well-known gaming YouTubers such as Afif Yulistian, BTR Zuxxy & Luxxy, and Frontal Gaming, and prominent professional gaming teams, such as RRQ, Bigetron and Belletron. The videos offer content for coaching clinics, game challenges, and esports tournaments.

Game on: GoGames chief officer Timothius Martin (left to right), esports pro player Liona Lee aka BTR Lea, and Gojek cofounder Kevin Aluwi pose for a photograph during the launch of GoGames, the latest feature of Gojek, in Jakarta on Sept. 8.

"Gamers still face many unresolved problems, such as how to adopt effective strategies, how to improve gaming skills, and how to choose the right items on a game. [GoGames] aims to answer the various needs of gamers,” says head of GoGames Timothius Martin.

A fun fact about GoGames is that the feature is developed by gamers and for gamers. Most of the members of the GoGames team, including Kevin and Timothius, are gamers. They understand that the market needs easier access to get gaming credits and the latest information on their favorite games.

Mission accomplished: Gojek drivers and GoPay merchants explore the content on GoGames, which gives access to informative and helpful videos about gaming.

GoGames Recipe, meanwhile, provides curated articles containing tips and tricks for gamers to improve agility, and the latest information on national and international tournaments.

However, GoGames is committed to not only providing fun gaming content, but also promoting awareness on responsible gaming. Gamers can find videos posted by local influencers on how to spend their money and time wisely.

"We aim to advise gamers to play wisely, select useful content and carefully manage their time and money,” said Timothius.

The GoGames launch has been warmly welcomed by esports athletes. They regard it as a form of support for local gamers and the esport industry by Gojek.

“We appreciate Gojek’s innovations like GoGames,” says Liona Lee, better-known as BTR Lea, a professional gamer. She is a member of a PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile professional team Belletron.

“GoPay has been supporting us in world-class competitions, and this launch of GoGames really proves Gojek’s commitment to the esports industry. We hope that GoGames boosts the enthusiasm of game lovers,” Liona says.

Gojek has demonstrated its support for local professional gamers in international tournaments through its e-wallet GoPay. Lea is upbeat that GoGames can bolster gamers’ enthusiasm.
