For the second-consecutive year the GoTo (PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk.) Annual Sustainability Report has been awarded Gold Rank by the Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT).

ASSRAT 2022, which is run by the National Center for Corporate Reporting (NCCR), was based on the theme Pathway to Circular Economy, highlighting the importance of the circular economy in supporting the creation of a sustainable way of producing, consuming and disposing of resources, and helping to reduce waste and conserve resources in the long term. The awards ceremony was held at The Westin Hotel, South Jakarta (24/11).

Prof. Eko Ganis Sukoharsono, Ph.D, CSRA, who is the ASRRAT 2022 jury chairperson, highlighted that all sustainability reports submitted to the rankings are measured in terms of their compliance with GRI standards.

Added Prof. Eko Ganis Sukoharsono, “Assessors from 15 universities across Indonesia, and one assessor from the University of Essex, the United Kingdom, closely scrutinize the sustainability report to ensure the validity and credibility of the rankings.”

According to GoTo Group head of sustainability Tanah Sullivan, GoTo is honored to have received the gold rank from the Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating for the second year in a row, saying, "We have built world-class practices into everything we do to achieve our Three Zero commitment, from how our company operates and sets strategy to how it prioritizes objectives.”

The GoTo Sustainability Report comprehensively reveals the efforts and initiatives the company has taken to reach its Three Zero target across the GoTo platform. The Three Zero targets include zero emissions, which focuses on decarbonization efforts for direct and indirect emissions; zero waste, which aims to accelerate the reusing, repurposing, recycling and processing of waste; and zero barriers, which seeks to reduce barriers to socioeconomic growth for driver and merchant partners in the GoTo ecosystem.

Added Tanah Sullivan, “We are committed to getting closer to 'zero' year-by-year and our annual sustainability report is a responsible, accountable and transparent way for us to share a detailed description of our commitment to sustainable practices and provide stakeholders with valuable information on our sustainability performance in regards to where we are and how much impact we have created -- whether it's reducing our direct and indirect emissions, diverting waste from landfill and the environment or eliminating barriers to growth and opportunity in our company and on our platforms."

The report serves two key purposes as it helps to build trust with stakeholders by demonstrating the company’s commitment to its Three Zero goals and also meets the organization’s obligations as an issuer on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

GoTo is currently in the process of publishing the roadmap for its Three Zero commitments on the official GoTo website to dynamically update stakeholders of the company's ESG progress and performance in real time.

The GoTo Sustainability Report is an international-standard report as it is indexed against GRI standards, SASB standards for the road transport and e-commerce industry, regulatory requirements of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. GoTo became a signatory to Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics issued by the World Economic Forum in 2021.

This year the National Center for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) also announced its new name as National Center for Corporate Reporting (NCCR).
