As part of Gojek's commitment to help improve the lives of its driver partners and their families through education, the annual Gojek Scholarship program has returned for  2022.

Riding  the momentum of National Education Day, Gojek driver-partners can register their children for the Gojek 2022 Scholarship program from April 24 to May 8. Registration can be done for free only through the official microsite gojek.com/beasiswa.

Gede Manggala, head of Indonesia Region Operations at Gojek, said that the scholarship program  had been successful in helping dozens of sons and daughters of outstanding driver partners continue their education at the D3 level following a rigorous selection process.

"By collaborating with various leading state polytechnics throughout Indonesia, we hope that our driver partners’ children can receive practical knowledge-based education so that they can be immediately absorbed into a qualified workforce. With this scholarship program, it is hoped that partner families can  access a better livelihood in the future,” he said.

Entering its third year, Beasiswa Gojek has now added the city of Malang, East Java, into its coverage area. To date, the program covers scholarships in eight state polytechnics across eight cities, including Greater Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Malang, Medan, Palembang and Makassar.

Over  the past two years, Beasiswa Gojek has proven to be successful in helping partner children to achieve their dreams of pursuing higher education, as two recipients can attest.

Nadila, who scored a perfect 4.0 GPA, said that she had high hopes when her father told her about the scholarship.

Alhamdulillah,  I am now a D3 student majoring in Business Administration at the Semarang State Polytechnic, and am even more grateful because I am able to achieve a 4.0 GPA. Hopefully, many children from other outstanding driver partners will also be able to receive this very valuable opportunity,” she said.

Meanwhile, Lintang, who as a D3 Electronic Engineering major achieved a cum laude GPA of 3.6 at the Jakarta State Polytechnic, said that she actually graduated in 2020, but was unable to continue her education due to financial constraints.

“One day in 2021, suddenly my father told me that Gojek was opening the Gojek Scholarship program at the selected polytechnic. I immediately registered, and my dream to study engineering came back to life after hearing the news,” she said.
