Indonesian MSME Dua Coffee Showcases Its Coffee in Davos

The Ministry of Investment (BKPM) invited GoTo to be a part of the Indonesian Pavilion in Davos, Switzerland. The event ran from May 22 to the 26th and presented two MSMEs that were represented by GoFood and Moka merchant partner, to introduce Indonesian food and beverages.

The Indonesian Pavilion targets 500 visitors, giving GoTo merchant partners the opportunity to introduce Indonesian food and beverages to executives, government, and business owners on the international stage. Selected to represent the country in the Indonesia Pavilion is Dua Coffee.

Since its establishment in 2016, Dua Coffee has turned a hobby into a successful business, with branches in Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung, and Washington D.C., where they opened their North American branch. The owners of Dua Coffee have carried out a series of processes to get to this point, starting from researching their business target market and product development. This Indonesian specialty coffee has been around for 6 years and was chosen to be the representative of GoTo's merchant partners because of their persistence in facing the pandemic by using the Moka POS digital platform. Thanks to this, Dua Coffee managed to increase sales revenue by 140 percent during the pandemic compared to year 2019-2020.

The hope is that the MSME industry can continue to be inspired and rely on technology platforms to be able to assist businesses to grow, especially in challenging times,” said Rinaldi Nurpratama, owner of Dua Coffee.

The data collected by Moka, including sales results and customer traffic, has really helped Dua Coffee implement new strategies to increase the productivity of their business operations, such as pricing, customer promotions, holidays, and employee management.

Moka, a cloud-based point of sales (POS) service that provide solutions in the form of features for business owners to ease the way they sell their products online and offline.
