T Pan Brothers (PRBX), the garment manufacturer for global brands like Calvin Klein and The North Face, said on Wednesday that they planned to launch their own brand of apparel by the second quarter of next year.
Anne Patricia Sutanto, the vice president director of PT Pan Brothers, said that the company would focus on the Indonesian as well as Southeast Asian markets for the distribution of their house brand.
“We have the capability to manufacture sportswear, formal wear and clothes that are more about lifestyle,” she said, adding that the emphasis would be on lifestyle apparel.
She added that the new brand would be distributed via a combination of department stores and standalone retail outlets.
She further said that in five years after its launch, the company expects to see a 15 percent contribution from retail sales to the overall sales.
The company collected Rp 1.09 trillion (US$113 million) in sales as of June, a 26.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Anne added that the company expected to see sales figures of $300 million by the end of the year.
“We expect to record 20 percent growth on top of this year’s numbers in 2013,” she said.
