W

hile living in Germany, Sandhy Sondoro claimed he never saw any animals sacrificed for Idul Adha.

But he is not anxious to make up for that on Tuesday on the Islamic Day of Sacrifice. Sandhy says he cannot stand to see animals slaughtered.

'€œNever. I am not that type. Currently I'€™m in Indonesia and I do not have the heart. I can'€™t watch,'€ Sandhy, who won the 8th edition of New Wave for young pop singers in Latvia in 2009, said in Central Jakarta in Friday.

The ritual slaughter of animals was a rare sight in Germany and the local Indonesian community was not really into roasting the meat after the sacrifices, Sandhy said.

That suits the singer just fine: Sandhy says he prefers to eat rather than cook.
