Gigi records new songs at Abbey Road

Rock band Gigi is currently in London, the UK, to record at the legendary recording studio, Abbey Road Studios.

The band, comprising lead singer Armand Maulana, guitarist Dewa Budjana, bass guitarist Thomas Ramdhan and drummer Gusti Erhandy, said the songs would be included on their new album, which is slated for release next year to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

'€œThe idea came up spontaneously 10 years ago, but nothing had been done '€” until now,'€ Armand said as quoted by kompas.com before the band'€™s departure on Saturday.

'€œIt'€™s a miracle for us,'€ Budjana said.

He said he was very excited about the recording, as they would be using a mixer that had once been used by The Beatles.

'€œAs musicians, we need to learn how to use an old-style port mixer because everything is digital now,'€ Budjana added.
