he new Indonesian Ambassador to Germany, Fauzi Bowo, handed over his credentials to Federal Republic of Germany's President Joachim Gauck at the Bellevue Palace, Berlin, on Wednesday, an Indonesia diplomat said on Thursday.

Spokesman of the Indonesian Embassy in Berlin, Juviano Ribeiro, told Antara in London on Thursday that during the credentials presentation ceremony, Fauzi Bowo was accompanied by Siswo Pramono, chief representative of the Indonesian Embassy in Berlin and a number of other Indonesian diplomats.

After the credentials presentation, Fauzi and Guack agreed to continue and reinforce existing cooperation that had been established and running well, including on interfaith dialogues.

Both sides also agreed to implement the Jakarta Declaration (Indonesia-Germany Joint Declaration for a Comprehensive Partnership: Shaping Globalization and Sharing Responsibility).

The comprehensive partnership cooperation was jointly declared by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Jakarta in 2012.
